I have discovered Orhan Pamuk this way and I was so thrilled about his style that I read almost every book published with his name on it. There are some great life stories, some inspiring passages, some unsaid things and some we wouldn’t think of, all of them written in a bright English that would refresh anybody. However, at least from my point of view, a link between stories could be useful at times. I didn’t discover any connection with the title, apart from the last few pages which tried to make mention of it. Good to know: it isn’t pessimistic as you would expect.
